The new generation of Bongo Fleva music from Tanzania Diamond Platnumz has stunned and trampled Nigerian artists after beating them all according to statistics on YouTube.

The artist who landed in Germany for his big show this Saturday uploaded new statistics showing artists across the African continent and how they perform on the stage.

According to these statistics, Diamond is the African artist whose songs are streamed most on the video platform.

Since he started music more than ten years ago, Diamond is the most popular artist on YouTube with 2.14 billion views.

Artists from Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo come in second place with Burna Boy from Nigeria coming close to Diamond with 2.05 billion views on YouTube.

Wizkid has been viewed 1.67 billion times on YouTube while Fally Ipupa, a new generation Rhumba artist from DRC is fourth with 1.40 billion views and Davido who is on the rise with his new album Timeless rounded out the top five with 1.29 billion views.

Diamond has been playing on the video platform despite the notion that many artists especially from the West do not pay much attention to their figures on YouTube because it is said that the income from the platform is still very low.

For that reason, many artists are now investing their music in other platforms such as Boomplay, Audiomac, Spotify and others that usually do not host videos and their income is more competitive than that of YouTube.
