Trio Mio loses his Instagram account to hackers

Recording and performing artist/ social media influencer Trio Mio has announced that his Instagram account is no longer under his management as unknown people have succeeded in hacking it.

The 18-year-old announced this through his record label Trouble Music's official account.

He did note that there were efforts underway to try and regain the account that boasts over 438K followers.

Through the press release issued on Trouble Music, the young artist warned his fans and business partners not to engage with the account as it was compromised and they didn't know the intentions the hackers had.

He noted that everyone should ignore whatever messages were sent using his account until otherwise stated.

"I am writing this message to inform you that my Instagram account has been compromised and is currently under the control of an unauthorized person," the first part of his message read.

He went on to add that he was taking all the necessary steps to regain access to his account and was hopeful he'd have it back under his control as soon as possible.

All while noting that he had reported the issue to Instagram and was working closely with their team to try and resolve the issue.

"In the meantime, I want to warn all my fans and supporters to be cautious of any interactions with my account.

Please be aware that any messages or posts from the account may not be from me. I advise you to ignore any suspicious messages or requests from this account and do not share any personal information or send money to anyone claiming to be me.” The 'Cheza Kama Wewe' hitmaker advised.

He finished it off with an apology to anyone inconvenienced by the happenings as he promised to keep fans updated with how everything was going via his official Twitter account.

“I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and I appreciate your understanding and support during this time. I will keep you updated on the progress of this matter via my Twitter page (@Triomioofficial), and I hope to regain control of my account soon.” The last of his post read.
