As we grow up and start earning, the first paycheck or salary is always special.

Whatever the amount is, it does make people happy, proud, and emotional. How we spend it is also a special experience.

Below are some celebrities who have shared their first salary and how much was the amount;

1. Captain Otoyo

Acclaimed comedian Kazungu Mutano, also known as Captain Otoyo, disclosed the details of his first salary while working at Royal Media's Citizen TV during an interview with Mpasho.

 He shared that his allowance exceeded his actual salary disclosing that he was paid a salary of eight thousand with an allowance of ten thousand.

2. Inspector Mwala

Davis Hezron Mwabili,  popularly known through his stage name as Inspector Mwala disclosed in previous interviews that he earned 150 shillings as his salary for the first month when he started working in Vitimbi and Vihoja Mahakamani shows in 1994 adding that the amount of money increased to 450 shillings after a month.

3. Jalangoo

Jalangoo disclosed that he was paid forty thousand by Radio Africa in his first month as he was working for Kiss Fm and also explained how he used every penny of it saying that he treated his friend Captain Otoyo for lunch and bought household items like a TV and a bed.

4. Maina Kageni

Kageni started his career at Capital FM before he moved to Nation FM saying that he got a call from Radio Africa boss who summoned him to a meeting and was offered a whooping 380,000 Kenyan shillings and that's how he resigned from Nation FM.

5. Njugush

Njugush made the startling revelation of his first salary on Twitter as he responded to a tweep who had asked netizens to share details of their first salary and which job it was.

The comedian answered by saying that his first salary was a meager Sh2800 on a show on TV. Not per episode nor per week, but after a month of hard work.

6. Rigathi Gachagua

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua revealed that his first salary as a DO was Ksh 3,230.

The DP said his journey to his current leadership position started way back at the Public Service Commission.
