Radio Africa announces new direction for digital and events

The GCOO stated that the company will announce the new digitally focused structure in the next few weeks.

Radio Africa Group Chief Operating Officer Martin Khafafa has announced new changes the media house will be taking to fully capitalize on the digital and events space. 

In a statement released on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, Khafafa said that Radio Africa Group continues to be a leader in the digital space and the new direction will connect radio and digital seamlessly.

“Radio Africa has started to strategically invest in the digital and events space and that’s where we see the future. 

“Previously we have been very strong and we continue to be strong and vibrant on our radio stations but strategically digital and events are the future," GCOO Khafafa said in part.

The company presently has significant followers on its various social media handles in addition to the local websites, something the GCOO touched on.

“We want to build and grow on our 15 million views from digital and make substantive grow the company to be responsive – respond to dynamic market trends,” he said. 

According to Khafafa, the new direction Radio Africa Group is embarking on will offer an array of options for their already existing and new clients. 

“Clients now have a chance to get Omni-channel solutions to their adverting and marketing problems. We will give you a 360 approach to your problems/needs. 

“We will give you a solution for traditional radio, and digital, and more importantly we will be able to activate on the ground with our new events and digital," Mr Khafafa said. 

He added; “While our radio stations continue to be strong and vibrant market leaders, the new focus will enable us to connect radio and digital seamlessly." 

The new direction will entail new products which include video production, and podcasts that will target Kenya and Africa's emergent middle class. 

The GCOO stated that the company will announce the new digitally focused structure in the next few weeks.
