Singer Stevo Simple Boy over the weekend sparked controversy for faking pregnancy news.
The musician announced that he was expecting a child with the woman he revealed as his wife several months back.
The 'Itabidi Nizoe' singer announced that the couple was expecting their first child together.
"Eh mtoto yuko njiani anakuja yeah," he shared.
He disclosed they do not know the gender of the child and are leaving it to God.
His ex-lover Pritty Vishy told fans that it was not true.
Taking to her Instagram stories, she said:
"NIKISEMA HIYO MIMBA SI YAKE MTASEMA NIKONA WIVU."
She has ever claimed that he cannot impregnate a woman, something she said during the height of their online feud before breaking up.
Well, in a follow-up comment, Simple Boy has retracted his statement saying he lied about expecting a baby with his lover.
He shared on his Instagram that it was a prank.
"Jana ilikua April 1st fools Day. Nilijua hamkumbuki... Nawapenda sana."
"Aprili tarehe moja Jana ilikua fools day najua mlisahau 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂... Mke wangu kanipranki... Sanitize sanitize... Mambo guda guda... Mambo ikiwa mbwedede mtajua tu😂🤣," he said.
Stevo Simple boy is among Kenyan celebrities who are known for chasing clout.
He faked an entire relationship from the engagement ceremony to cohabiting for clout.
The singer's alleged fiancée Jenny Wangui would later confirm they are not dating saying their 'relationship' was just a PR stunt meant for showbiz.
"It was just showbiz and it's over," she later revealed.
Before her revelation, Stevo deleted all photos of Jenny from his Instagram account and disclosed that he was heartbroken.
