Najma Ismael has joined the office of State house spokesperson Hussein Mohammed.
This comes after she recently left working at KTN where she spent about 9 years.
She went ahead and shared the news with her online fans toasting a new beginning adding that she will be in charge of media liaison meaning that she will be a point of contact between the State House and the media.
She was the first Hijab wearing English news anchor.
Before joining KTN, the journalist worked with,Classic 105,and kiss 100.
This comes a few weeks after Former KBC journalist Bonnie Musambi was appointed by the president as the Director of Coordination at State House, under the office of the Spokesperson.
The former Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) news anchor took to social media and expressed his gratitude to the Head of State for the new job.
“Wow! Just wow! My immeasurable gratitude to God and you Mr. President, for my appointment as Director of Coordination, State House. I promise my full dedication and loyalty to you and all Kenyans,” he wrote.
A month ago, Francis Gachuri also exited Citizen TV as an anchor and joined the Interior CS.
In his new role, Gachuri will be responsible for creating, delivering, and evaluating communication activities that lead to the effective positioning and promotion of trust within the Ministry. He will also manage all internal and external communications channels within the Ministry of Interior and National Coordination.
That's just to mention a few, After the 2022 general election, a good number of media personalities ditched the newsroom after landing lucrative jobs with the county and national government like Sam Ogina, Mike Gitonga, Hussein Muhammed, and John Nalianya.
