I am at a loss of words!! Samidoh in mourning

The cause of his death is yet to be established.

Mugithi Maestro Samidoh is mourning. This is after her learned of the demise of his friend Ambassador Ayub Matiri.

Matiri is said to have collapsed in his Nairobi home. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Taking to his socials, Samidoh hailed Matiri as hard-working and a patriot.

"It is with shock that I have received the news of the demise of Ambassador Major General Ayub Matiri the Kenyan ambassador to Egypt.

Our country has lost a man of honour, a hardworker and a patriot.It was an honour to have interacted with the kind and welcoming man during my Egypt visit.

I am at a loss of words. May God comfort his loved ones. Rest in Power Sir."

The deceased is said to have complained of chest pains before collapsing. It is not clear what caused his death, but an autopsy is planned on the body to establish the cause of death.

Major General Matiri was appointed by former President Uhuru Kenyatta as the Chairperson of the National Multi-Agency Command Centre which was tasked with controlling the spread of Corona virus.

He previously served as the Commander of the Armoured Brigade, the KDF arm responsible for military tanks.

The deceased also worked as the secretary to the National Security Advisory Committee and as chief adviser on domestic security.
