Ugandan singer Jose Chameleone has paid tribute to the late dancehall brother and singer AK 47.
The late AK 47 died mysteriously eight years ago.
AK 47, real name Emmanuel Mayanja was a young and talented star who was also the brother to Jose Chameleone, Weasel, and Pallaso.
"To all my brother's fans. In case you can make it. please come Let’s meet and pray for our fallen soldiers who can no longer pray for themselves 🙏🏿R.I.P AK47," wrote Pallaso.
The Valuvalu hitmaker, Jose Chameleone also penned:
"In prayer, as we remember the life and love we shared 💔May you continue to rest in eternal peace Champion AK47 ❤️".
47 rose to fame in 2012 with the hit song "Champion".
He died aged 24 in March 2015 at a Kampala-based bar.
His last Facebook showed that he had just gotten saved:
""Nze Ndi Mulokole Nafuuka Mulokole AK Mulokole Naawe Fuuka Mulokole In God we trust."(I am saved, I received salvation, AK is saved, you also get saved In God we trust)"
Chameleone, recently trended for days after he publicly exchanged a kiss with his brother Weasel on stage during his recent concert.
In a recent interview with Mambo Mseto, Chameleone said he was just appreciating his brother, Weasel for standing with him even when nobody believed in him.
The 'Valuvalu' hitmaker owned up to his mistakes, saying he regrets it.
"I have a family. I have parents and I have children. As an African, I apologize to all. People said all sort of things after my show failed. The only people who remained with me were Pallaso and Weasel and they pushed me. I am sorry about what I did," he said.
"I am not trying to define or disrespect anyone. I am sorry to my people since as a public person, I would have done it better but I am not an angel. It was emotional since most people had prayed that our show would fail. It was a gesture of joy but a wrong gesture and I am sorry."
