Francis Amis popularly known as Frasha is an award-winning musician and a businessman. 

He came into the music scene in the early 2000s. 

He's a member of P-unit, which is a Kenyan hip-hop band consisting of him, Boneye, and Gabu.

The group is famously known for their songs; Kare, Kushoto Kulia featuring Nonini, Gentleman featuring Sautisol, Weka Weka, You guy featuring Collo, and Si Lazima featuring Nonini.

Frasha is a legendary artiste who has kept Kenyans entertained for 23 years now. 

He officially quit music on February 23rd, 2023. 

Below are facts that you did not know about him:

  • Went to Machakos Boys High School

For his secondary education, Frasha went to Machakos boys highschool. Here, he worked hard, and passed his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education(KCSE). 

  • Joined Kenya Medical Training College in 1999

From the year 1999, Frasha joined KMTC to study for his diploma in physiotherapy. 

  • Practiced physiotherapy at the Aga Khan hospital.

Over the years Frasha has been a practicing physiotherapist at the same time a recording and performing artist.

  • Quit his job at Aga Khan

In the year 2011, he quit his practice as a physiotherapist and decided to fully focus on music as a business. 

  • His close friends call him 'Dakitare' 

His friends call him "Dakitare" for being a physiotherapist. In a couple of P-unit's songs, you can hear them refer to Frasha as "Dakitare".

  • He's a family man with a two kids 

Frasha is a family man, married to Maggie Mbogo. Together they have three kids; Shirleen Amisi, Esther Amisi, and Emmanuel Amisi.

  • He's a passionate soccer player

Due to his love for soccer, when in high school Frasha joined the football team. 

His passion for the sport saw him later on play for bigger teams including Kenyatta Hospital, East African Portland Cement, and Imara Daima Football Club.

  • Frasha and his colleague Boneye are childhood friends

The two knew each other even before deciding to do music together. While in college, the two teamed up and where set out on a mission to pursue their dreams of becoming well-known musicians. 

They initially recorded several songs as Bonnie and Frasha before teaming up with Gabu to form the group P-Unit.

  • He grew up in Athi -River

Due to his vibrant Nairobi social scene, many would think that the rapper was born there. Frasha was born and raised in Athi-River, Machakos county.

  • He is an MCA aspirant 

In 2017 Frasha decided to venture into politics to help his Athi-River community. Though he lost the seat to Honorable Jeremiah Kaloi.

He lost the race again in 2022.
