During an interview done by Eli Mwenda and Oscar Koome we got to dive more into the life of Nviiri The Storyteller.

To start off they ask him what is his favorite thing about being a man.

"I am a very traditional man, I consider myself a provider and protector," Nviiri said.

He grew up as a free spirit with the support of his parents who allowed him to explore and exposed him to a lot of educational things.

His musical interest began when he first wrote a song in form one. Joining the music and drama club was also a contribution to his musical career.

When he was younger most of the songs he wrote were all about love. His inspiration was from the telenovela films he used to watch.

The singer first knew that women were a curse for him when he wrote the hit song "Pombe Sigara" Women are a risk he is willing to take "Kuoga na kurudi soko"

As anyone else would, Nviiri has struggled with his emotions.

"Of course, the struggle is expressing yourself, and you might think you are expressing yourself but you are just talking to yourself and not to other people," he explained.

The tricks he uses to overcome this are by expressing himself in a way that applies to many, being honest with himself, and seeing the bigger picture.

"There is a lot of power in being genuine," he added.

When he was asked what has contributed to him being emotionally intelligent he spoke about being open to change and being able to view the two sides to a coin.

"A constant thing in a man is change," he said. "I think failing over and over until that gets you to a point where you start viewing life differently."

The art of being grounded, holding down his beliefs, and establishing boundaries was what also contributed to his emotional intelligence.

The man's conceptualization of love is everything within the bounds of compromise, sacrifice and not being rigid.

"Love starts with me" he voiced.

Being comfortable with who he is giving him room to give.

His parents gave him a perfect example of love. Seeing their loyalty and coordination made him want to emulate them.

His way of maintaining love and relationships is by being rational, respectful, compromising, and honest.

What is one thing you wish women knew about men that are not talked about enough is a question that was asked in the interview.

"We have feelings, thugs need hugs," Nviiri The Story Teller remarked.

He emphasized that men love being taken care of as much as they are the ones who do the taking care and having their feelings reciprocated.

"We have open and honest discussions about love, life, and social situations," said one of the hosts, Oscar.

Women and men have vibes and balance.

Nviiri goes ahead to talk about what he has learnt from being part of the Sol Generation brotherhood.

"Usikuwe personal," he stated.

In their brotherhood system, they solve issues there and then, have each other's back, share knowledge and check each other because that is what real connection is all about.

The reason why he calls himself "The principal of the school of heartbreak" is because of all the heartbreaks he has seen from friendships to workspaces to relationships.

"Tumeona heartbreaks hapa nje," he added.

He continues by saying that at some point we get to learn how to handle heartbreaks and that growing, being smart about it, making your peace with it and learning is what helped him get out of heartbreaks fast.

"These things happen"

The hitmaker of Overdose's greatest fear is not being able to grow. His love for life is what motivates him to do what he does every day.

"Just waking up itself is such a success," Nviiri explained.

As the interview was coming to an end, he let his fans know what his music dream career entails.

"I have come to a point where I have seen potential in teamwork. In the future, you will be seeing a lot of collaborations"

The hitmaker for Nairobi is also planning to come up with a TV game show as well as travel a lot.

Coming March 2024 he is planning to release his album "inside out". He will have an exclusive listening party before the release of his album.

Making a bigger impact with his music is all that the singer wishes to do.
