Azziad reacts to online criticism after landing state job

Azziad's competence since landing a government job has been questioned by netizens. Since the Talanta Hela Initiative was announced, and Azziad named among committee members, netizens have been demanding to know what qualifications she has to make her deserve the job.

She has since given an insight as to why she got the state job. The content creator has shared a fan's detailed reasons why Azziad is right for the job.

She shared a screenshot that said, "Besides Tiktok, Azziad is a radio host an actress, a content creator, and a social media personality, and guess what? She has a degree in mass media. So what makes her not qualified for the job?"

The screenshot further added, "Yall have said you want government representation in the Government? You want the Government to hire youth like you and not the same old men. You've got it now you complaining. She's very popular with the youth and relates to the current generation. She started from zero on TikTok and she grew very fast. this is based on the knowledge, talent, passion, experience and likeability factor," Read part od the explanation.

The Talanta Hela technical Committee was Wednesday, February 15 inaugurated.

There are two committees; The Creatives and the Sports Committee.

“It is notified for general information of the public that following: the Presidential pronouncement on the 12th December, 2022, of Government plans to revitalise Sports and the Creative Economy through the revolutionary Talanta Hela initiative, the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Youth Affairs, the Arts and Sports has established Talanta Hela Council and its Technical Committees for Sports and the Creatives,” read a Gazette notice dated February 10.

Your affairs, Sport, Arts CS Ababu Namwmba officially unveiled the committee members at a ceremony Wednesday at the Mopi International Sports Complex.

The Sports Technical Committee will be led by Carol Radul as Chairperson and comprises of 11 members including Kevin Mutai, Alfred Makotsi, Boniface Ambani, Collins Kale, Julius Kiplagat Yego, Neddy Kutsuru, Staicy Shariffa Ochieng,Sammy Tiyoi Shollei, , Shilovelo Winna Shilavula and Daniel Nakeor Losiru.

The Creatives Technical Committee will be led by Comedian Daniel Ndambuki popularly known as Churchill and comprises of 10 members, including Jimmi Gathu, Azziad Nasenya, Akinyi OdongoEsther Akoth, Kizito Makhande, Rosemary Wahu Kagwi, Susan Ekasiba, Awadhi Salim Awadhi, Douglas Kipkirui Langat, and Catherine Kamau.
