Gospel singer Ilagosa Wa Ilagosa died of high blood pressure.
The family through a WhatsApp group where his friends are contributing towards his burial arrangement said.
After a postmortem was conducted yesterday, the doctor's report said "he died due to blood pressure that had caused heart enlargement."
Today, family and friends will meet at St. Mary's hospital for a service and body viewing from 10 am.
Ilagosa's body will then leave Nairobi for Western Vihiga County.
He will be buried on 16th February.
Ilagosa' burial budget is sh1.5M. So far, artistes and friends have contributed over half a million through their two WhatsApp groups.
A few days ago, the father of the late gospel artist Ilagosa wa Ilagosa spoke to bloggers about the allegations that circulated on social media about the cause of his son's death.
In an interview with journalists last week on Thursday, the old man said his son had been poisoned by his close friend.
He said Ilagosa was his fifth child born to him 40 years ago and his funeral will be held next week on Thursday at his home in Vihiga county.
"In short, although I was not around but following the words of the people, it is said that he was given poison from the trip where they were and it affected him," said the old man who was full of grief and sadness.
Ilagosa's fellow artist Harry Richie, also spoke about the issue, saying that it is highly likely that he ate poison that was given to him in the food by his gospel friends.
