The exquisite 12th edition of Tribal Chic went down on the 4th of February 2023 at the Tribe Hotel and it delivered everything promised!
Honestly, Kenya needs more of these high-fashion events!
This year's edition of Tribal Chic celebrated sustainable fashion with showcases from a leading pool of talented local and international designers who showed off conscious pieces made from natural, eco-friendly, and sustainable materials.
Designers who got to grace the event and show off their unique pieces included Sors Studio, Wildlife Works, StudioNamnyak, African Lifestyle Hub, Seamline Atelier, Katush, Deepa Dosaja, Aulgah Nato, Poetic Trends, Vinkay Clothing, Koki Designs, Shenu Hooda, Lakira, KikoRomeo, We areNBO and Mariam Couture.
The sustainability theme was driven by Tribe Hotel’s commitment to coexist on a single planet as one tribe, humankind. The hotel was recently re-opened after undergoing extensive renovations to help it transform into a more eco-friendly resort.
Some of the attendees included the cast of Real Housewives of Nairobi with Susan Kaitany rocking the runway, Miss World Kenya 2023/ and Former Miss World Kenya 2021/22, and a series of media personalities.
A pop-up market is currently ongoing at Tribe Hotel where people can shop pieces from the runway that caught their eyes as well as other designs from the designers.
