The two candidates are Otieno Lewis Omondi from St Peter's Mumias Boys Primary School and Fwaro Makokha Robinson from Christ the King Academy, Bungoma.
Robinson Fwaro said that he wants to be a software engineer. The top pupil said he desires to join Alliance Boys High School.
Fwaro said he is filled with joy and he did not expect to be the first student in Kenya.
“I expected to be among the top ten students in the country but this has come to me as a surprise,” he said.
“I have been yearning to join Alliance Boys High School to realise my dream of becoming a software engineer. I know that with my parent's support I will make it,” he said.
At the same time, Lewis Otieno Omondi disclosed that he wants to be an engineer like his father.
Lewis confessed that he looks up to his father Peter Otieno who is an engineer by profession, and would like to walk in his footsteps.
Omondi hopes to join Alliance High School and later study engineering at the university after completing his secondary education.
