Prof Hamo has shared a beautiful memory of himself and his dad before his death.

Speaking to the goldmine Show, Hamo told that it was a moment that lives forever in his mind because his dad was severely sick.

"He came to Churchill to surprise me.

You know I'm just there nachapa shughuli I'm just about to leave and Churchill says 'ngojea kidogo'.There was someone he wanted me to meet." He told

Prof Hamo was curious about the delay only to see his dad access the stage.

"I was dancing with Papa Shirandula kumbe all this was a distraction so I don't notice. . Sasa mzae ndio huyu and you know he was suffering from Parkinson's disease."

The medical condition did not stop Hamo's dad from surprising his son. It was the fathers day special edition on Churchill.

"Being in Nairobi at that hour late at night, it was beyond my imagination, he was supposed to be at home resting and you know your dad, mbuyu ndio huyu" Hamo continued narrating.

The sickness saddened Hamo seeing his dad unable to be the strong man that he knew.

"you know Parkinson's' works in the nerves it's a degenerative disease he could not sit still, he was always shaking, and he was at his worst"

He shared a clip of a Churchill show in 2016 when he was wrapping up the show.

As he was entertaining the crowd, his sick dad and mother were silently being led to the stage where they surprised him with an appearance.

Hamo hugged his parents and almost collapsed on stage owing to his joy at the special visit.

The celebrated comedian acknowledged the fact that he would never have done it on his own, without the direction of his late Dad.

Hamo recalled growing up in Nakuru, Lanet in a family of 8 siblings.

"mzee alikuwa kwa jeshi, muguruki sana, people knew him tulitembea na yeye mara mingi before he passed on.

Hamo believes that moment on the Churchill show was a defining moment

"It was humbling, that moment was a statement, he came for fathers day, that was the show of the night"

Honoring the father was his best show. Sadly, the dad died a month after appearing on the Churchill show.
