How well do you know your whisky? There’s always an assumption that whisky is bourgeois, stuck up and full of itself. Not William Lawson’s.

The great tasting, bold scotch which was born at the Macduff distillery in 1849 is made for you to drink the way you please. For you to embody the true spirit of the William Lawson's Highlander - the guy on the bottle wearing a kilt.

Do you chart your own path? Are you the life of your crew…….always the one with the plan? William Lawson’s is on the hunt for Kenya’s Next Highlander. The second edition was launched at Quiver Lounge on October 1, 2022.

During an interview with Cyd Wambui on Kiss 100 Kenya, Tom Njeru, the Customer Marketing Manager at Bacardi in Kenya said the inspiration behind this campaign is getting people to express themselves and get rewarded for it.

William Lawson’s is looking for somebody who embodies the brand, somebody who is unconventional, unbound and bold.

This is not a task for the faint hearted, being a highlander takes guts and determination. You will be challenged, and your grit will be tested. It's time to sort the men and women from the boys and girls.

The man or woman who takes the crown will be the face of William Lawson’s whisky for the next year. If you are that person who lives life by your own rules, you may just be Kenya’s Next Highlander.

Sign up and stand a chance to win your kilt, a trip to Scotland worth Sh1.5 million and a cash prize of Sh500,000. While at the home of William Lawson’s, you’ll get to visit the distillery and see how it is done plus so much more.

To participate, you must be 18 years and above. Register on www.kenyasnexthighlander.com or scan the QR code on any of the campaign communication in various retail outlets or dial and follow the steps.

The William Lawson’s team has been hitting different clubs and lounges daring Kenyans to take up the challenge to be Kenya’s Next Highlander.

Some of the challenges you’ll participate in include a dondosa challenge, don’t flinch challenge, balloon in cup challenge, a 30 second chopstick challenge, where contestants are dared to pick up beans from one bowl to another within the time limit, plus more. You earn points after each play, which are then added to the leaderboard.
