Musician Bahati lied to his wife that doctors had barred him from accessing the delivery room when they were welcoming their first child. 

Speaking on Diana's YouTube channel, the father of five said he could not stand being in a theatre room then.

"They wanted me to go the theatre with you but I refused and told the nurse to tell you (Diana) that they did not allow men in the theatre," he said.

Bahati said he waited outside, wondering what to do.

"I was even afraid to hold the baby the first day," he said.

He then apologized to his wife for lying to her during that time.

"You want me to lie again, at that time, I was afraid but I am sorry about that."

Bahati said he has since overcome that and was present in her recent delivery to their third child together.

Diana welcomed her child five days before her 33rd birthday.

Announcing the good news to their fans, Diana wrote;

 "THE ANGEL OF HEAVEN 🤍@MALAIKA_BAHATI BORN ON 1ST NOVEMBER, 2022 AT 10.52 AM, WEIGHING 3.5KGS.IMELA PAPA."

Bahati used his page to also alert his fans and followers that his family has a new addition.

"MALAIKA NYAMBURA BAHATI 🤍 BORN NOVEMBER 1ST 2022, GLORY TO JESUS!!! @MALAIKA_BAHATI," Bahati shared

During her birthday, Bahati said she is the woman who gave his life meaning.

"Happy Birthday to the Woman Who Gave My Life a Meaning ❤ There's Only One thing I Love about You; Everything! @Diana_Marua," he wrote. 

He then asked his fans to help him choose a birthday gift for his wife.

Bahati is now a father of five children.
