Nigerian musician David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as Davido together with his fiancée Chioma Rowland have been together since their campus days.

The two have been in the news for different reasons with the latest being the death of their 3-year-old son.

Below is a time timeline of the couple's relationship.

The two were in the same high school but their paths didn’t cross until 2013 when they attended the same university, they met through a mutual friend.

David and Chioma attended Babcock University where the singer pursued a degree in music while his fiancee was a student of Economics.

Although they met in 2013, the two were just friends up until 2015 when they officially started dating low-key.

They kept their relationship private up till 2017 when they went public with the news.

Davido decided to introduce his girlfriend to the world in such an adorable way.

He not only wrote a song for her but he also convinced Chioma to star in his music video titled “Assurance.”

The relationship was going all good and Chioma who happens to be Davido’s third baby mama was blessed with a son, on the 20th of October 2019, little David Adedeji Adeleke Jr. Davido's first son among the four children he has.

Just a month after the “If” artist had proposed to her. The wedding was set to take place in July 2020 but was put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Something must have gone incredibly off during that period because come February 2021 it was reported that the two had split up.

And had been apart for quite some time The supposed breakup was spurred by loved-up photos of Davido and Instagram model Yafai on holiday in the Caribbean.

This was followed, by a series of loved-up photos of the two that broke the internet in March 2021.

Before that moment, there’s been the case of Davido having a fourth baby mama. Davido and Chioma then unfollowed each other on Instagram, giving room for their fans and followers to speculate even more.

The two, however, found each other again and were not only able to reconcile their differences but also rekindle their love.

A few months ago, the internet was welcome the news that the two were back together after a video of Chioma attending Davido’s concert started trending online.

The two even left the venue together! Fans were over the moon and for people who’ve always shipped their relationship they had better news for them.

Davido two weeks ago bought Chioma a new Mercedes G-wagon as a reconciliation gift.

The gift came in just a week after the singer had revealed that he’d be walking down the aisle with Chioma come 2023.

Things were looking bright for the couple up until today when they sadly lost their only child together.

It was said that young Ifeanyi, who’d turned 3 years just a week ago, drowned in the family pool and was underwater for a while before he was discovered and rushed to the hospital.

His parents had traveled to Ibadan for a family gathering and had left Ifeanyi with his minders who can’t explain how he got into the pool unnoticed and eventually drowned.
