Kenyan comedian turned rapper Vanessa Akinyi, popularly known as Cartoon Comedian, has finally spoken on what transpired between her and fellow actors Steve Mogul and Diana Daisy.

In an interview with Mungai Eve, Cartoon got candid as she revealed the split was amicable and the two needed to grow their brands.

"Tukianza kushoot everyone was a comedian and had a life... kuwork na wao it was the best experience ever.

They are nice people and have good hearts, but ikafika point, they needed to grow their brand."

Though it caught her by surprise, she said supporting each other was the least they could do,

"They just wanted to grow their brands on their own, and the least we would have done is support each other."

Speaking about her cheating partner, Cartoon confirmed she got cheated on, and it was not a stunt to publicize her song.

"Niliumizwa, lakini ni sawa tu, uzuri najua kujilove."  "Saa hii niko single," she added.

Nevertheless, Cartoon didn't give the details as she said people should listen to the song to get the gist.

The comedian had previously mentioned that her new song cost her Khs. 2.5 million, she broke it down, expressing she wished she would have made better financial decisions,

"Kubreak down itaniuma, juu zingine niliwaste. Nilikaa chini nikasema,

'Cartoon, hii location fee ungepata tu kababa fulani umdungie tu 3K,' lakini nikasema apana, coz I wanna go hard on music, let me just use my money."

The Mbona unacheat artist disclosed that the shoot location cost her Khs. 500,000,

"Location ilinicost half a million.

I just used money, yenye ata zingine zikumbuki."

In a nutshell, she explained what the goal of the song was,

"The song was more of advising ladies na madem wako uko nje wanatry kugrow, ni more of telling them vitu kama hizo zisiwaingie kwa roho, iyo kujilove iko na purpose."

"Badala ya kufocus na kuachwa tumove on na kujilove, na have a life of your own ata before having a life with someone else,

Jipende kuwa na job yako, kuwa na vitu unapenda kufanya, ata ukipenda mtu, usijisahau."

As she wrapped it up, Cartoon shared that getting into music was a fluke.

"Ilinipata tu si mimi niliitafuta, ilicome kijokes."
