Erecting a billboard announcing happy news is something a lot of celebrities and famous people are doing. 

Over the years, many celebs have made such public declarations of their love using the expensive

1. Kabi wa Jesus

The Wajesus family have done billboards thrice so far. The first one was to wish Kabi a happy birthday.

The humongous billboard announced that it was his born day and told of blessings. The second one was to unveiled their pregnancy news. In January 2022, the vloggers told fans they have another bundle of joy.

“The WaJesus family is growing. Another baby loading,” reads the message on the billboard. All this was because their fans had been speculating for a while that they were pregnant. They denied it, only to later pull this stunt.

The third billboard was for Milly to announce she was gifting her husband a car. The surprise gift was a new Audi for his 30th birthday.

2. Harmonize

Harmonize earlier this year paid for a billboard in his home country to beg his ex girlfriend Kajala for forgiveness.

In the billboard, Harmonize asked her to take him back, expressing sorrow for all he has put her through. That was in March.

In July, he erected another one wishing her a happy birthday. “Happy birthday my wife, I love you.”

This billboard was after proposing in June. The rest is history as the two are now engaged after making up.

3. Eric Omondi

Eric once dated Kenyan Italian girlfriend Chantal Griziolo.

The two were so deep in love, that the comedian dedicated a huge billboard near JKIA to welcome her back from Italy.

Chantal had gone on vacation and was preparing to jet in. Lover Eric simped and went all out and hailed for being romantic.

In 2018, Eric explained his thoughts saying, “These things are not really extraordinary. If you are able to do these things, do them,” he said.

“I planned the surprise for two months. I hunted for a billboard which was at an exit point from the JKIA. I needed one which was at a high traffic area. The Chinese Digital service provider had placed their advert on a billboard, which I had deemed to be on a very strategic spot. I reached out to them and they liked the idea, which saw us partnering,” Eric added.

“I opted for the billboard placement because it is a move which, until then, had not been pulled by any couple in Kenya. I’d initially thought of placing the message on a screen at the airport, unfortunately, there are no screens at the JKIA, which left me with no choice but to go the billboard way. I wanted to welcome Chantal to Kenya after five months of being away in Italy,” said Eric Omondi.

4. Wolper and Rich Mitindo

Wolper, the ex girlfriend of Harmonize is set to marry her fiancé Rich Mtindo.

On Tuesday October 25th, a billboard announcing 'harusi tunay' was spotted by their fans, who took pictures and tagged the couple about it.

Rich proposed to Wolper in August 2021, and anxiety is building about when they will finally say I do.
