Content creator and comedian, Jaymo Ule Msee, has said that Tanzanian superstar, Diamond Platnumz ignored him during a photo session.
This happened during the unveiling of the partnership between Odi Bets and Wasafi Bet last year.
In a video shared online, Jaymo was seen on several occasions extending his hands to Diamond but he kept assuming him.
A frustrated Jaymo, later on, left the stage without shaking hands with Diamond. Well, Jaymo was then mocked online with many claiming he was forcing issues.
The comedian addressed the issue while speaking on Iko Nini Podcast.
Jaymo said he had intended to take a picture with Diamond although he did not know him at a personal level hence also the cause for the reaction.
Jaymo said the video was a major boost for his brand as many people posted the video mocking him not knowing they were publicising him.
"There were many people who posted the video with intention of making fun of me but for me, the job was done and by the way, it was not scripted at all."
As a content creator Jaymo said content creators work well when brands allow them(creators) to do their jobs without them interfering and dictating what they would do.
"Content creation in Kenya is under a big threat by brands, and I am a speaking as a person who has worked with so many brands, the authenticity of content creation is dipping because the commercial aspect is dictating so much what the creative will be."
During the interview, Jaymo encouraged the youth to work hard and settle only when they can be in a position to feed their families.
