Actress and musician Hamisa Mobetto are set to finally release an EP.

The mother of two in an interview told Tanzanian blogs that fans should wait for something good very soon.

She did not give further details of the EP set to be released.

However, Hamisa was asked if she will follow in the path of baby daddy Diamond Platnumz who this year released an EP dubbed FOA - First of All.

She low key threw shade saying she is "not aware of how he planned his music" and that she is interested only in her songs.

"What can I say?  I'm on a timetable. I am doing other things and I'm trying to balance all the other things I am doing with my ambassadorships.  I have been in talks with my management about it and next week I will release my EP. It will be my first ever EP."

Hamisa added that her management settled on an EP.

'There are so many songs on the EP, I have done so many collaborations so it is up to us to choose what to release and what will go to the main album and the EP. And since our timetable doesn't allow for an album, we will release an EP first."

Hamisa also addressed the fact that she has been lucky to land endorsement deals - with Rick Ross's alcohol brand - unlike other influencers.

Addressing this, she said, "When you are dedicated and work hard, these companies will take notice of you and I believe that is what has happened to me. These companies research how you represent yourself online and the content you share. If it aligns with their vision, then they work with you."

Hamisa also responded to claims she uses filters on her Instagram saying the claims are false.

"I don't think filters can completely alter how a person looks to portray someone as being completely different. I'm very lucky I meet people face to face and they see that I look like my online pictures. Many of them comment that they thought I use filters."

She added, "Social media ni kama uwanja (It is like a field). If you use social media for good then you will land jobs, It all depends on how you use it."

Hamisa continued, "f you use social media without being strategic then the results are disastrous, however, if you are strategic about it, you will amass an audience that you want."
