Gospel singer Evelyne Wanjiru is celebrating her birthday with a title she has prayed for all her married life.
Evelyne is finally a mum 10 years after getting married to her husband Agundabweni Akweyu.
In her message on her birthday, the mother of one said this years birthday is a special one to her life.
While jamming to her new song 'Asante Yesu' Evelyne wrote;
"Asante to you my God for another year you've granted me. This one is special as I clock thirty something and baby Mshindi also clocks 1 month.
Happy birthday! I have waited for this day, celebrating my birthday with a title I prayed for and yearned for; mother. Anajibu maombi, Asante Yesu!"
Her husband Agunda also showered her with a love message.
He described Evelyne as a true friend and asked God to fill her life with happiness and overflowing blessings.
"It is your special day Sweethear! I celebrate and wish you a happy birthday. May you live to celebrate more birthdays and keep on impacting lives. Thank you for being my wife and a true friend, I love you mama Mshindi . May God fill your life with happiness and overflowing blessings."
Evelyne welcomed a son last month and named him 'Mshindi'.
She learnt that she was pregnant while on a US music trip a few days after the burial of her father in love last year.
"I took the pregnancy test alone and found out it was positive, I was shocked that I fell in the toilet. I was shaking and crying. I didn't know what to do. I was confused. I took a photo and sent it to my husband," Evelyne said.
