Early this year gospel spin master Samuel Muraya alias DJ Mo gifted his parents with a fully furnished house.

The three bed-roomed home is estimated to have cost around Ksh 5 million.

Size 8 now says it was her idea that Mo build his parents a house first before they can start building their own home.

Speaking to Mungai Eve during the groundbreaking of their dream home project, Size 8 revealed,

"It was my idea that he builds his parents and grandmother a house first. It would not have looked good for us to be living in a good house while the parents were leaving poorly.

I told him to invest a lot of his money into the projects, from there we have tapped a lot of groundbreakings.

We decided to honour our parents first."

Mo says he felt indebted to build his parents a home as he saw the struggles they went through bringing him up.

" I had told God that if he ever blessed me I would build my mum and granny a house.

When I was in school in Nakuru I used to stay at my grand mother's place.

Even for my parents they have never owned a house."

The father of two shared a photo of an exquisite fully furnished living room with flashy furniture installed.

On his caption, he appreciated his parents for taking care of them back when they had nothing and noted that the gift was a way of honouring their love.

Speaking to Mpasho.co.ke, DJ Mo said it’s a 3 bedroom en-suite valued at Ksh 5M that is inclusive of purchasing the land.

"It took me around eight months to build because there is the standard I really wanted," he said.

Mo added that his parents have already moved in.

"It was a gift to just say thank you for raising me up. I'm from a very very humble background.. that’s why small wins mean a lot to me."

He said that his mum and dad are very grateful and they always pray for him together with his family.

"Their prayers are all I need on a daily basis. Let’s learn to appreciate our parents or guardians who have been there for us when they are still alive."

He said the reason they speak about their wins is to encourage others but not to brag.

"We don’t post for flossing we post to encourage others that it’s possible no matter where you have come from."
