Times are rough for Churchill Show comedian Consumator who is in financial straights.

The comedian says that the pandemic and his father's ailment has pushed him to look for any means to make money.

Speaking to sections of the media, he said, "I called several people, and only one lady from church helped me. She offered me a job as a caretaker at her compound in Ngong, where I have been staying up to now. I do vibarua (casual) jobs such as ploughing, slashing... If I don’t get those jobs, I can’t get food but thank God I have a great neighbour who has been supporting me.”

Consumator said all his celebrity friends turned their backs on him and he had to find a way to fend for himself.

Informing his fans on social media, Comsumator explained, "Guys I have no problem being a caretaker. I do it with happiness and a smile. I have no problem at all doing vibarua kwa shamba. Anything that would help me raise whatever money for my dad's illness I will do it with stride and gratitude."

Reacting to his grace to grass story, he explained, "I have been raised in the village with a lot of struggles and I understand things do happen. This story is about those small painful steps we require to take sometimes in order to make end meet."

The comedian is ready to up his game and work himself out of the financial hole he is in.

He appealed to his Kenyan fanbase to support him where they can. "I want people to stand with me. If you have events or jobs, contact me. The little I get from emceeing events will help me get on my feet. "

He continued, "Number two, I’m starting a YouTube show as a comeback, and I need help to shoot it."
