Nameless and Wahu star on their own show, 'This Love'

‘This Love’, a documentary by Wahu and Nameless has been nominated in the ‘Best Documentary’ category of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs), 2022.

The documentary, which airs on Multichoice’s Maisha Magic stars legendary recording artists Nameless and Wahu.

“We are delighted that ‘This Love’ has been recognized as one of the best documentaries to be produced in Africa. This nomination is testament to the brilliant partnership we have had with Nameless and Wahu throughout the production process and the world-class work from the D&RTV team that put it all together,” said the show’s Executive Producer and Young Rich TV Managing Director, Eugene Mbugua.

‘This Love’ depicts the lives of Wahu and Nameless, who have been married for over 15 years.

The show which debuted on January 16th, 2021 took viewers behind the scenes of the duo’s collaboration on their first music project together.

“The objective of this show was to give viewers a fresh perspective into the lives of these famous personalities and giving them a platform to tell their epic love story in a unique and unbridled way,” Eugene Mbugua added.

The Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards recognizes the continent’s top content creators across the entertainment industry from movies and television to social media.

Other than 'This is love' other documentaries that have been nominated in the category include ‘Road2Blow’, ‘Unmasked’, ‘Sunset In Makoko’, ‘If Objects Could Speak’, and ‘Streets of Lagos: Dear Little People.’

Audiences have to register on the Africa Magic website and have until April 29th to cast their vote.

Eugene Mbugua's Young Rich TV has partnered with other award-winning artists to produce popular unscripted projects including ‘Sol Family’ which stars award-winning group, Sauti Sol.

The company is currently shooting the reality show ‘Kyallo Culture’ that stars former news anchor Betty Kyallo and her sisters Mercy and Gloria.
