In an interview with Plug TV, the 'Huratiti' singer explained that he was also approached by them saying,
"I was offered money, I was offered a record deal as long as I don't mention Jesus in my songs. When I went through the contract I realised that this was going to bind me to a different belief other than Christianity."
He said that the group that consisted of Kenyans and foreigners met him at a hotel in Westlands, offering him loads and loads of cash,
"They had a lot of money and they wanted to put in a lot of money but it was as long as I recant my belief in Jesus. They wanted me to do feel-good songs, motivational songs, they didn't want me to be so hardcore in terms of the gospel."
