DJ Pinye has opened up about the naughty childhood that saw him start a fire at their family home.
In an interview with Charles Otieno on Standard Digital, Pinye revealed that he finally confessed that act of arson to his mother on the death bed,"I told my mum before she died that I burnt the house, our family home when we were kids."
Pinye said," She asked me when she was in the hospital and I confessed that I burnt the house."
He continued, "That was back when we used to live in Kibera. The house did not burn down. I started a fire."
Pinye will this year celebrate his 51st birthday but he does not look a day older than 30. Asked what his secret is, he said, "People get shocked when they hear how old I am. First of all, I am a fitness freak, I eat well and I don't stress at all even with all the insults on Twitter."
The music business mastermind gave props to the person he says is the best Kenyan songwriter.
"The person who writes the best songs to date is Bien. I listen to his songs and i start crying because the song us about me sio wamlambez. I cant relate to that."
