Singer Wahu is paying tribute to her late dad, nine years on. The 'Sweet Love' hitmaker took to social media to post a photo of her dad and also poured her feelings to her fans on the caption.

Wahu wondered how her dad's relationship with her kids and husband would be if he was still alive?

"So many times I catch myself wondering...if dad was still here....what would his relationship with my kids be like now? I can almost see my Tumiso talking to you about boys she likes & sharing her big dreams and desires with you (boys and dreams were topics you welcomed!!! now that I'm a parent, I understand why. Good one dad!) I can see you tickling Nyakio silly ...and her squeaking loudly as she ran away. I wonder how your relationship with Monski would have evolved..and if he would have finally learnt how to describe building designs in Kikuyu."

She then reminisced how beautiful her relationship with him was adding that she wasn't ready for him to leave.

"I can see us walking in the forest the way we often did, as we talked about life and all its twists and turns. I loved how openly you told me 'I love you Wahu'. I loved our quick phone call prayers before I travelled... they had a way of making me feel safe... You were not rich in silver, gold or earthly belongings, but in love, kindness, honesty and dignity, your wealth was immeasurable. I wasn't ready for you to leave...but you had to... it's the painful reality of life. Yet in as much as you are departed physically, you live on in our hearts and in our memories."
