Kenyan comedians who have turned into musicians

Apart from making people laugh, a number of Kenyan comedians have gone a notch high by releasing entertaining songs.

The songs turn out to be comical due to the nature of who the singers are.

Here are some of the Kenyan comedians who have ventured into music.

Professor Hamo

Other than being a 'professor of Comedy' Hamo recently unleashed his singing prowess.

6 months ago, he released a song dubbed 'Nobody but you'. Last month, Hamo released a song named 'Jela' in collaboration with singer Christar Bingwa.

Oga Obina 

7 years ago, comedian Oga Obinna gave his first shot at music. He released a Nigerian-themed song named Igwe. 

The comedian further released other songs such as; Shida ni Doh, Shoulder, Bolingo na Ngai For the Instagram and others. Most of his songs are comical. 

Eric Omondi

The African King of Comedy has also been releasing hits. 

His latest hit was a diss song for Jamaican singer Konshens. 

Other comical songs released by Eric Omondi include; Veve, Ndege Nyege, Tiko Tiko, Kasuku, Zilitemwa and Saratina. 

Mammito

Comedian Mammito recently unveiled her music career. 

She released a song dubbed Character Development and Kenyans just loved it. 

DJ Shitti

In the Real Househelps of Kawangware show, DJ Shiti was featured as an aspiring musician whose career was struggling. 

But on the ground, DJ Shitti has been a successful singer. 

His first song was Boychild featuring Magix Enga and Alvindo. He later released songs such as Kidesign, Pesa and others.
