The 2021 American Music Awards were held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles California. The winners were voted entirely by their fans.

Below is a shortlist of some of the famous acts that managed to scoop the highest number of awards.

BTS

The boy band with a total of seven young male Asians made history at the AMAs as the first Asian group to win in the Artist of the Year category. Currently the group has managed to receive a total of 9 AMAs. Apart from that title they received two more awards which were, favorite pop duo or group and favorite pop song.

Doja Cat

The female singing sensation managed to go home with a total of three awards which were; Collaboration of the year, which was an award in relation to her collaboration with Meghan the Stallion. The other two awards were the Favourite Female R&B Artist and Favourite R&B album.

Meghan the Stallion

The famous female rapper also went home with a total of three awards. The award titles were as follows; Favorite trending song, favorite hip-hop artist and favorite hip hop album.
