Singer Sanaipei Tande had a fascinating interview with comedian Churchill Ndambuki, where she disclosed many unknown things about herself.

The veteran singer revealed an anecdote about herself when she was still in the music group Sema which was also comprised of Pam Waithaka and Kevin Waweru.

The group which had its heyday in 2004 lasted only for 6 months before their sudden split which caught many of their fans flat-footed.

For many years many wondered what had caused such a promising group to go their separate ways?Well, the Mfalme was Mapenzi singer has finally divulged what happened saying that a Nairobi-based bishop contributed to their split.

“There are so many things that contributed to the Sema period being in existence only for 6 months and then we broke up. For this entertainment industry needs guidance, without guidance you can get lost, ” she said.

Adding;

"It's a job where you can be led by your parents from home but also in the industry there must be someone, if we say he would be the Homeboyz person who leads us and we didn't have that, on top of the fact we were young."

She explained that the unnamed bishop tried to get the group away from the management of Homeboyz, offering to take the group to the Netherlands.

"There was a bishop who had 680 church (Hotel), first he wanted to take us away from Homeboyz and he had planned a trip to the Netherlands but I refused to go. Homeboyz wrote a letter saying they wouldn't take any responsibility for anything that happens during the trip," Tande told Churchill.

That wasn't all, apparently, the bishop would call her at crazy hours of the night something that bothered her dad.

"When he called me one day at eight in the morning, I remember very well my father was watching the news. I went and sat down with my father and he said ‘Nope! A man of that age who wants to discuss business to call you at 2 o'clock in the morning, is not a good person. ' ” she remembered.
