Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnumz has won the African Artiste of the year award courtesy of Ghana Music Awards- the United Kingdom.

He was competing against Master KG of South Africa, Davido, Patorankin, Wizkid, Mercy Chinwo, Mercy Osinachi and Burna Boy.

The event was held yesterday at Royal Regency, London.

Diamond is currently in the US for a music tour. Yesterday he performed in Atlanta and is expected to perform for his fans today in Washington DC.
