Gospel singer Mercy Masika has dropped a few tips that she feels will help young people planning on getting married.

Sharing her two cents with her fans on social media, the Shule Yako hitmaker asked her fans to use their brains well while making the right decision on the kind of a partner they want to have for the rest of their lives.

She advised that people should not allow feelings to drive them crazy and end up marrying wrong.

She said feelings don't last a year before the reality of life starts checking in.

"Don't  marry someone just because you feel Mayoriyori. Mayoriyori last atleast six months, then reality inawatembelea. Love the feeling can poteza you...Usijipoteze na mafeeling. Tumia akili na roho mtakatifu..Mayoriyori is strong feelings of attraction."

Married for more than 10 years, Masika admitted in a previous post that her relationship with Muguro was not what she expected at first.

The singer said spending time together and delving deep into God’s word helped them understand their purpose in each other’s lives.
