Actress Mama Nyaguthii - real name Mary Adhiambo - from the popular show Papa Shirandula is a household name.
She speaks with a deep Kikuyu accent in her acting role and is among the pioneer actors of the show but away from that, she has studied law.
Well, despite the fame from her acting role, the actress has managed to keep her family off the limelight.
She told Buzz Central the reason is that she does not like speaking about her private life, adding that some fans mistreat celebrities on social media.
"This is because the moment you open up to the public, people will demand to know whenever something happens. I see how people mistreat celebrities on social media."
She said her first payment in her acting job was Ksh 300 per show.
"It was the highest-paid. It was crazy but we still soldiered on and built our careers."
