Former BBC anchor Njeri Makena says many parents in the country are supporting their gay children in the best way.

Through social media platforms, Makena said that ''they'' have been meeting with parents and their gay children who have been working hard to ensure the country appreciates inclusivity.

Makena added that most parents love their openly gay children unconditionally and have been trying to get to understand them even more, something that impressed ''them''.

"This last month I have been speaking to parents who have openly gay children and have chosen to love them unconditionally and it was beautiful to hear how their relationships have become even stronger over the years."

'They' further added that one thing Makena constantly tells both parents and children is that the only way to mend a bridge is by pouring out unconditional love.

"When you do this you reduce all your expectations and allow for there to be a bridge that will help in taking over heavy conversations but LOVE has to be present.

I realized that so many parents and children need guidance in this journey. So for October, I will be having a special package for parents who are trying but they don’t know where to start we boldnetworkafrica have a training package that can help reduce the burden because to be human is to love even when it gets too much."
