Citizen TV's Lulu Hassan has opened up on some of the saddest moments in her life.

In a Question and Answer session on her social media, the mother of three said losing her mother was one of the most painful moments in her life.

She noted that she is the only thing she is lacking in life. The other tragic moment is when she was involved in a road accident in 2010 while on assignment in Kisumu. The road accident left Lulu with hip injuries.

In 2017, Lulu recalled that sad incident saying she had had to walk with the aid of a plate on her femur for 7 years because of it.

“April 19th 2010 I remember this day like it was yesterday… I was going for an assignment in Kisumu but on reaching Kapkatet it all happened so fast, I found myself at the Siloam Hospital in Kericho first aid was being administered,” said Lulu.

Adding,

“Next thing I knew I was in the ambulance on my way to Nairobi for an emergency theatre at the Aga Khan Hospital. The next few months would be tough. If you would have asked me then if I thought I would be able to walk or be on my feet again, I wouldn’t have imagine that was possible,” she said.

She said that sometimes she would feel agonising pain.

“Seven years that saw my walking style and body posture change completely thus affecting my back and work not forgetting the excruciating pain I would have to endure whenever I wanted to lie down.”
