Divorce is never a good season for anyone and celebrity couple  Ben Pol and Anerlisa Muigai have been holding their own ever since the news leaked.

Sources close to the couple claim that the divorce is done and finalised and that the couple is moving on with their life.

Keroche heiress Anerlisa has been promoting the water brand that she runs while Ben Pol has gone back to release music.

Now, the Tanzanian singer has been appointed ambassador for environment conservation by Selemani Jafo, the Minister of State in the country's Vice President's office.

Accepting the role, Ben Pol said his objective is to become a role model and create a sustainable future for the coming generation.

"I strongly believe that nature and humanity can thrive together and want to make this a reality for my son and for all Tanzanians. My objective is to become a role model and to work towards a bright and sustainable future for the new generation, one that is respectful of nature and the environment at large," stated Ben Pol.

This is not the first role Ben Pol has gotten that is skewed towards conservation, he is also a United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) champion, was first appointed ambassador for WildAid in 2015. 

In 2017, he participated in the World Wildlife Fund's Earth Hour. Two years later, he was appointed ambassador for Justdiggit, a grassroot organisation on a mission to cool down the planet by regreening Africa.
