Willy Paul is undoubtedly one of the biggest celebrities in Kenya. He knows what he wants, and there's no holding back for him. I might be wrong, but I strongly feel that if Willy Paul wasn't a gospel artiste, right now he'd be further than most of these young stars who are taking over Africa.

From the beginning when we first heard his jam, it was evident that the 'Kitanzi' singer was trying to bring the bongo vibe into gospel. It worked, and he won several awards for it. We actually started calling him Willy Paul Bongo.

From claiming that he's Diamond Platnumz's relative, to stealing his name and even sounding like him in his tracks sometimes, it's evident the Mathare-bred star is extremely obsessed with the Tanzanian heartthrob.
