All about Emmah Wanyota, the brutally murdered student whose body was mutilated

The death of Emmah Wanyota, a Vera Beauty college student, has left Kenyans in shock. Her body was mutilated and dumped outside their homestead.

The 21-year-old had been raped, private parts stabbed, intestines pulled out, hands and legs cut off. Her gruesome murder has horrified  the residents of Eldoret.

Here are things you didn't know about Emmah.

1. She was a student.

Emmah was a student at Vera Beauty College and on the day she was killed she had been called away to help with some beauty services at a nearby venue where a wedding was ongoing.

2. She was the second born among three girls.

Emmah had two sisters with Sheila Wanyota being the oldest and Sharon Wanyota her twin.

3. She was to graduate from beauty school last month.

SHE WAS TO GRADUATE ON SEPTEMBER 21, 2019 BUT HER GRADUATION WAS PUSHED FURTHER TO OCTOBER 4, 2019.

4. She had a twin sister.

Emmah had a twin, Sharon Wanyota who is situated in Kitui. On the day she was murdered, unbeknownst to her she was chatting with her sister's killer on her sister's phone without knowing that she lay dead at that particular moment.

5. She was the child of a widow.

According to a neighbour, Emmah's mother was a widow whose husband had passed away a few years back.
