Distinguished Tanzanian singer is once again transcending to the international spotlight after his hit ‘Hallelujah’ featuring reggae band Morgan Heritage gets the nod to feature in the anticipated movie Coming 2 America.

The song will be part of a 16 song compilation album titled ‘Rhythms of Zamunda’ put together by international record label Def Jam and Def Jam Africa.

‘Hallelujah’ is the only song to feature from East Africa with most coming from South Africa.

This comes after a fraction of netizens raised a furore over the movie trailer on grounds of appropriation of African culture and not being inclusive enough.

The album might come off as an attempt to pacify netizens by giving the movie a tinge of the motherland in its soundtracks.

The highly anticipated movie is a sequel to 1988 blockbuster hit ‘Coming To America’ and features the same original actors.
