Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi was last evening arrested over a social media post he made about coronavirus spread.

Nyakundi is said to have made false claims on a senior KRA official who later complained to police.

He was summoned and grilled before being locked up.

He spent his night at the Central police station and it is not clear what awaits him given the courts have been closed.

Officers at the station say they are waiting for orders from above on the way forward. He is the second blogger to be arrested in a week in the crackdown on the virus.

Robert Alai was last week arrested and charged on Monday before he was released on a Sh50,000 cashbail.
