Investigators have issued an appeal for the husband of the late Ohangla dancer Sheila Odoyo, also known as Sheila Wegesha, to turn himself in.

Jackson Bambo, aged 45, is being sought in connection with her murder, which occurred in Athi River. Although he is considered a person of interest, authorities stress that he may not be the perpetrator and are urging him to cooperate with questioning.

Following the discovery of a vehicle used by Bambo after the murder, abandoned in Athi River, detectives are intensifying efforts to locate him. The car, a Mitsubishi Outlander, was found deserted in the Kencom area of Nairobi's CBD. Bambo's whereabouts remain unknown, with his last known signal traced to Narok. Despite repeated attempts to contact him, he has not reached out to authorities or his family.

The motive behind Sheila's murder remains unclear. A postmortem examination revealed that she died of exsanguination, a medical term referring to blood loss. Pathologist Dr. Michieka Michieka conducted the autopsy at Shalom Community Hospital mortuary, after which the family relocated the body to another facility.

The tragic incident unfolded when Sheila's daughter, aged 18, discovered her mother's lifeless body in bed, her throat slit. Sheila was believed to have been killed earlier that morning in her Hill View estate residence. The couple, who operated a popular bar in Nairobi's Umoja area, had reportedly been experiencing marital discord.

As investigations continue into the murder, authorities are urging anyone with information on Bambo's whereabouts to come forward. Sheila's untimely demise has deeply saddened many, with tributes pouring in on social media following news of her death.
