Ohangla dancer Sheila Wegesha murdered

A car allegedly belonging to the husband of slain Ohangla dancer Sheila Odoyo, also known as Sheila Wegesha has been found.

The vehicle was found abandoned in the Kencom area within the Nairobi CBD, according to the police.

Authorities are seeking to question Jackson Bambo, aged 45, regarding any information he may have about Sheila's murder.

Police have identified him as a person of interest in the case.

It is reported that he was using the vehicle when he left his house on Thursday, with his last signal traced to Narok.

Despite this, he has not yet contacted the authorities regarding the matter."

Sheila was found in her house, with her throat slit on Thursday.

Police said her daughter aged 18 stumbled on the lifeless body of her mother in bed before she raised an alarm.

The daughter said she had prepared lunch for her mother and went to wake her up to take the same when she realized she was dead.

The body which was discovered at about 1 pm Thursday, May 9 lay with a pool of blood caked around it indicating she had died more than four hours earlier.

Police arrived at the scene and processed it before moving the body to the mortuary.

According to police reports, the couple has been having squabbles for some time. The couple runs a popular bar in the Umoja area, Nairobi.

 An autopsy has revealed that Sheila Wegesha died of an exsanguination

Exsanguination is the action or process of draining or losing blood

Pathologist Dr Michieka Michieka conducted a postmortem on the body at Shalom Community Hospital mortuary on Friday.

After examining the body, Michieka gave his findings as to the cause of death being exsanguination due to sharp force trauma to the neck.

Samples were also taken for DNA and toxicology analysis.

Bambo left the house without uttering a word to their daughter who was there, police said.
