A requiem mass for 32 people who died after a bus plunged into River Enziu on last is ongoing.

The mass has brought together families of the deceased, who were heading to a wedding when they met their death.

At the mass, Juliet Mutua, the daughter of the couple that was doing a wedding recalled watching her family members disappear into the flooded river.

"I lost two of my sisters their children and my grandchildren watching. Everybody from my family was there, I am the only survivor," she recalled.

Juliet recalled kneeling by the river, as a man held her so as she doesn't jump in.

"It was the hardest experience that I would never wish even my enemy to go through. I watched my family go down the river slowly," she continued.

Juliet was among the occupants of the bus but went back to pick her face mask.

"I only went back to get this mask from my car and it saved my life. I ran towards the bus and I saw it drifting slowly...and I thought it was just shaking because the tides are too heavy."
