Police in Narok East Sub County has commenced a manhunt search for a 45-year-old man who stabbed his peer to death while in a drinking den.

Lesinko Ole Sito stabbed Ntirishi Tamoo, also 45, on the head and chest killing him on the spot at Wakulima bar after the two disagreed bar services.

Narok County police commander John Kizito said the police were alerted of the incident by the area chief Stephen Esho and swung into action immediately where they found the body of the deceased lying in a pool of blood.

“The body had stab wounds on the head and chest. It was reported that the deceased was taking beer at the said bar, when Ole Sito entered and asked the bar attendant to sell beer to him, then the deceased who was drunk shouted saying ‘Don’t sell to him’,” said the police boss.

It is then that Ole Sito removed a Maasai sword and stabbed him several times on the chest and later on the head before escaping to an unknown place.

The police boss is calling on the members of the public with information that would help to arrest Ole Sito to report to the chief’s camp or the police.

The body of the deceased was taken to Narok County Referral Hospital for preservation awaiting post mortem.

Kizito called on the residents not to take the law into their hands, but instead seek alternative dispute resolution means whenever they are in disagreement.

Once arrested, Kizito said the man will be charged with murder.
