Willy Mutunga pleads with Kenyans for Boniface Mwangi

Kenyans woke up this morning to the shocking allegation by activist, Boniface Mwangi that his house had been bombed.

Mwangi explained that his house in Athi River, Machakos County, which was still under construction was attacked by suspected thugs who sank its foundation using explosives before robbing the construction workers.

"I’m not a criminal. I don’t do deals. I have never compromised my values. The state has blown up the house my family was building. The bullets, the explosives they used are on the scene. So what kind of a country are we living in?" he questioned.

Kenyans are still divided on the veracity of the claims, with the police taking the matter seriously with even bomb experts visiting the scene.

The police divulged that there were three attackers who robbed construction workers at gunpoint before detonating explosives at the building.

But while the legitimacy of Mr. Mwangi's allegation might be up in the air, his close friend, former Chief Justice, Willy Mutunga has sprung into action.

Mr. Mutunga has decided to rally Kenyans to contribute and help the political activist rebuild his home.

Using his Twitter page, Mr. Mutunga wrote, "I appeal to Kenyans who value humanity to help me and others to rebuild Boniface Mwangi’s house to shame those who sponsored the inhuman, cruel, and satanic act of blowing up Mwangi’s house."

That wasn't all, the former CJ said that he would be getting his own investigators to handle the matter. A friend in need is a friend indeed.
