The family of Dr James Gakara is holding a requiem mass for their departed members at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church Nakuru.

In the service, Dr Gakara's body was placed between those of his two children, Dylan and Karuana. 

The three will be laid to rest on Tuesday at Dr Gakara's farm in  Gilgil,  Nakuru County.

In a moving eulogy to her husband, Winnie shared how they met in a hospital when she was an intern.

They were set to mark their 7th year wedding anniversary in November. 

Dr Gakara is suspected of killing his two children by injecting them with medicine. 

Later, the gynaecologist is said to have also ingested a medicinal substance that left him unconscious. 

On September 22, Gakara died while receiving treatment at the Nakuru Level 5 Hospital.
