The detectives investigating the murder of Catholic priest Michael Kyengo have unearthed a male lover of the dead cleric.

This dramatic twist will force the investigators to push for a second postmortem examination to confirm these claims. If indeed there was intercourse between the two.

The murdered priest's said lover is, 25-year-old nursery school trained teacher, whose text messages to Kyengo have been leaked.

Just like two people in love, the murdered priest and the teacher exchanged cute messages to each other.

They often referred to each other using sweet pet names.

In one of the conversations dated October 6, the two referred to each other in romantic terms of “Hi dear” and “hi my love”.

Kyengo’s body was discovered buried in a shallow grave on Wednesday, eight days after the priest was reported missing from his Matungulu home in Machakos County.

Kyengo was killed inside a rented house, his throat was slit and he was stabbed twice in the stomach.

Investigations are ongoing.
