Last week I did a personal, home-based review of a drink that my friends brought to me a few days before and I had to write about it today. The day I did the review had some rather hot weather and this drink was actually very welcome because I needed something cold. A bottle of Tusker Premium Cider was going to do it.
I haven't done many ciders by the way so this was easily a first. The instructions from my friends was that this drink is best served chilled so being obedient, I had put in in the refrigerator three days before. My anticipation was very ripe today.
This was going to be an opportunity to do something different. I had read up on this drink and literature had it that Tusker Cider is a deliciously crisp, premium-crafted and refreshing drink created from fresh apples, perfectly balanced for a drinking experience.
Sat with the drink on my humble balcony that overlooks the Kibera slum and pulled it towards me. The bottle was already sweating from the condensed air and I couldn't wait to see what it was like. Since it wasn't a twist-off top, I had to use my bottle opener.
I then poured it in to my glass and instantly noticed the light carbonation. Having served half the glass, I could see that it looked like apple juice. I then raised it to my lips and gave it a try.
First taste
Whoa! This drink is pretty good. It delivered a rich fruit flavour and a sharp, crisp finish that is lightly carbonated and super refreshing. The golden colour was enticing and the alcohol content was just right. I enjoyed the drink and I would recommend it to anybody who wants soething good.
